Step 1: Network Setup

Ensure your CTL-Pro controller has internet access. Use either the AV or Control port.

  1. Open the CTL-Pro WebUI.

  2. Go to the Controller tab > IP Address Settings.

  3. Set the Gateway and enable Default Gateway for the port you are using

  4. Scroll down to the DNS section and set the public DNS IP addresses. We recommend using Google DNS servers (DNS 1: 8.8.8.8, DNS 2: 8.8.4.4)

  5. Click Apply.

Step 2: Enable Cloud Monitoring

  1. In the Controller tab, navigate to the Cloud section.

  2. Enable Connect to Cloud

  3. Donโ€™t change the default Registration Server URL.

  4. Click Apply to save the changes.

Step 3: Retrieve the MAC Address

The CTL-Pro controller has two MAC addresses: one for the AV and one for the Control port. To claim the device, use the AV MAC address, regardless of which port is connected to the internet.

Method 1: Find the MAC Address on the Controller
  1. Look at the back of the controller for the AV MAC address.

  2. Write it down in all capital letters without spaces or special characters (for example, E4CE12345678).

Method 2: Find the MAC Address in the WebUI
  1. Open the WebUI and go to the Controller tab.

  2. Scroll to the Log section at the bottom of the page.

  3. Find the line that starts with Receive: controller info.

  4. Look for hostname_av: NHD-CTL-PRO-XXXXXX. The AV MAC address is represented by XXXXXX.

  5. Copy the address in all capital letters without spaces or special characters (for example, E4CE12345678).

If you don't see the MAC address in the Log section, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Telnet API Command section above the Log.

  2. Send the command config get controller info.

  3. You should now see the Receive: controller info line in the Log.

Step 4: Create a Sigma Cloud Account

  1. Click Sign Up and enter the required information.

  2. Log in to your Sygma Cloud account.

Step 5: Claim Your Device

  1. In the Overview tab, select the Space where you want to claim your devices.

  2. Click Claim Device and select the NHD-CTL-Pro from the model drop-down menu.

  3. Paste the AV MAC address into both the MAC Address and Serial Number fields. Make sure it's all capital letters without spaces or special characters (for example, E4CE12345678).

  4. Set a custom name for your CTL-Pro.

  5. Click Claim Device.

After adding the CTL-Pro, Sigma Cloud will detect the device and show its status as Online. NetworkHD endpoints will be added automatically.
