The Companion Control App, available for iPad and Android devices, allows you to control source devices in a NetworkHD system.

The app connects to the CTL-Pro controller, which sends IR commands to the encoders, and the encoders forward these commands to the source devices. This eliminates the need for additional control devices.

Before you begin

  1. Buy a license: To unlock the app, purchase a license key from WyreStorm. The key will be tied to the specific device it is registered on.

  2. Use CTL-Pro: The app requires a CTL-Pro controller.

  3. Configure NetworkHD: The NetworkHD system must be configured using the controller's WebUI before using the app.

  4. Alias names: Set alias names for all encoders. Custom alias names are required for the app to function properly.

  5. Network settings: Ensure your device is on the same network range as the CTL-Pro before opening the app. Navigate to your device's network settings and set the correct IP address.

Connect the app to the CTL-Pro

  1. When you first open the app, enter the license key and click Register.

  2. Enter the CTL-Pro IP address and click Search.

  3. Online encoders with their alias names will be displayed. Click Continue.

Configuring control commands

  1. Select the brand and model of the source device connected to the selected encoder.

  2. Select a test command from the dropdown menu and click Test Command.

  3. After the test, click Apply Commands to the Encoder.

  4. Click Next and repeat this process for every encoder.

Using the app

On the main screen, all configured encoders are listed at the bottom. Select an encoder to view its preview stream and use the buttons to control the selected encoder.

The control interface is generated automatically based on the type of the source device.

  2. Click on Enable Groups.

  3. Click on Add Group and give it a name.

  4. Click the three-line icon next to the group name.

  5. Select the encoders from the list and click Save.
