Need Help Identifying Your Version?

Some NetworkHD encoders and decoders have undergone hardware revisions since their initial release. Identifying the correct hardware version is crucial before selecting the firmware update file. Installing firmware for the wrong hardware version may render the device inoperable.

How to Identify the Hardware Version

Check the model number sticker on the device chassis. The hardware version is indicated as follows:

• Hardware Version 1: [Model Number] (no version number) Example: NHD-100-RX

• Hardware Version 1: [Model Number] v1 Example: NHD-100-RX v1

• Hardware Version 2: [Model Number] v2 Example: NHD-100-RX v2

NHD 500 Series

To install firmware updates on NHD-500 series, make sure devices are running version 1.2.5 or later. If the devices have an older version, update them to v1.2.5 first before moving to newer versions. This step is crucial for avoiding issues. To download version 1.2.5 firmware, click here.

Please note that enabling Fast Switching will erase the EDID or any custom preset previously uploaded to the NHD-500 encoder
